Know Before You Go

Tips to Prepare for SupportCon

Need help getting prepped for the SupportCon conference? Here are some helpful tips!

Before You Go
What to Pack
  • Electronics and chargers.
  • Please note the event spaces and meeting room temperatures vary, so it's best to bring a sweater or a light jacket.
  • Umbrella or other rain gear as needed.

Hotel Check-In Tips
Below are some tips shared by our conference hotels so that the check-in and bill process goes as smoothly as possible.
  • Tax Exempt
    • We understand that many guests might be tax exempt for their hotel room charges. Please let guests know that they will need to have both the State and City Tax Exempt Forms when they arrive at check-in. If they do not have both of these forms, hotel accounting teams will not be able to check them out as tax exempt.
    • Please also communicate that the School District or Company must be paying for these rooms in order for the reservation to be tax exempt.
  • Billing
    • Please let guests know that hotels cannot accept checks as a form of payment. They can only accept credit cards at check-in or a credit card authorization form that is completed prior to check-in. If guests need to fill out a credit card authorization before check-in, please contact the billing department of your selected hotel.
  • Names on Reservations
    • If the school district has multiple reservations and have different people checking in for each room, please reach out to your hotel’s billing department so they can add each individual name to the reservation so that check-in is smoother.

Once You Arrive
  • Head to the registration area at the Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center (outside of the Grand Ballroom 3 & 4).
  • Take the opportunity to meet new people and expand your network! OASBO has a wonderful, welcoming community of members. Step out of your comfort zone and try to introduce yourself to at least 3 new people each day!
  • Attend EVERYTHING you can to get the most out of your experience: general sessions, education sessions, networking and food events.
  • Follow us on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn and use #OASBOSC24 to share your experiences with others.
After the Conference
  • If you need educational credit (to maintain your license), be sure to finish adding your codes to the mobile app or conference website within 5 days after the conference!
  • If you need CPIM credit, log into your TOS account to register any CPIM password codes you have.
  • Fill out the post-conference survey to help shape our future conferences.
  • Stay connected on our online networking community, collaborate.

Safety Tip
  • For your personal safety, when outside of the Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center, we recommend that you remove your name badge when you are traveling outside of the conference center, and walk in groups if possible.
