OASBO values our members' expertise, opinions, and willingness to commit their time to help us achieve our goals. Volunteer on an OASBO committee today! You'll meet other school business officials and work collaboratively to make a difference!
Standing committees meet regularly, and are designed to manage and support many of our core services and programs. Ad-hoc committees and task forces are formed on an as-needed basis for special projects or initiatives and their duration varies. Most committees are open to member sign-ups, however some are created by official appointments.
Join as many committees as you'd like, taking into account the time commitment involved. Don't measure your involvement with OASBO by the number of committees you are on, but by your level of active participation and the ultimate impact you can make.
Committee members receive contact hours for participation in committee meetings, and those hours will be added to each event transcript after the meeting.
(According to the OASBO constitution, all committee members must be an active OASBO member in one of the classes of membership, as listed in ARTICLE IV of the OASBO constitution.)
