Join us for Accounts Payable and Payroll Seminar

8/6/2021

OASBO is holding seminars designed specifically for school business office support staff and those dealing with accounts payable, and for those dealing with payroll & benefits.

There is now one virtual option, for Accounts Payable, and one for Payroll and Benefits. The in-person regional offerings have been cancelled due to low registrations and high COVID-19 numbers in Ohio.

This Accounts Payable seminar is designed to ensure financial staff performing duties associated with accounts payable and purchasing are up to date on reporting and compliance requirements as well as understand software upgrades, and legal and compliance issues. This year's seminar topics include: ESSER II & III; Auditor of State Update, Document Digitization, Records Retention, Public Records (Top 10 Records for AP); Best Practices for Cybersecurity; and Alternative Payment Options. There is also a facilitated roundtable with plenty of opportunity for discussion and sharing best practices.

The Payroll & Benefits seminar is designed to ensure financial staff performing duties associated with payroll and benefits are up to date on reporting and compliance requirements as well as understand health insurance trends, software upgrades, and legal and compliance issues. This year's seminar topics include: STRS/SERS update, Janus Rule, 403(b) and 457 update, solutions for processing timesheets and leave, and HSAs & Section 125 plans.

** The previously scheduled regional events for both seminars have been canceled due to low in-person registrations **
