Membership Overview

***If you are an Associate member, check with the Professional member in your district to see if they would like you to use their free Associate membership code. Codes cannot be used to pay for or get a refund for an Associate Membership already being processed.
 

Professional

Annual Dues: (Annual Salary + Board Paid Retirement x .008)

Those employed full-time in the business affairs of school districts (ex: treasurer/CFO, business manager). It is issued in the name of the SBO and remains with that individual, even if they change districts.
 

Associate

Annual Dues: $100

This category encompasses a wide variety of roles: school district support staff, those licensed in school business but unemployed or not practicing, employees of state agencies or related associations or higher education institutions. Any staff in the in the following (or related) job roles can choose this type: AP/AR, Asst Treasurers, Building/Grounds, EMIS, Food Service,  Maintenance/Custodial, Payroll, Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, or Transportation.

Student

Annual Dues: $25

Full-time college student or school business intern interested in pursuing a career in school business (and not currently working in a school district).

Annual Dues: $50

Those who held active membership at the time of retirement. Retirement = accepted for retirement by SERS, STRS or PERS, and no longer employed full‐ time by an Ohio Board of Education. Retired‐rehired SBOs serving as treasurer/ CFO, business manager or similar function are not eligible for this membership type.
