Reporting Education Credits

A variety of education credits are available for your participation in our Annual Workshop. Please read the information below to ensure you follow the proper procedure to receive credit for all the sessions you attend.
 
The contact hours submission process has changed. You are responsible for submitting all contact hours online by April 27. See below for detailed instructions. 

Continuing Education Unit (CEU) & Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Credit

You will earn contact hours towards CEU and CPE credit for attending any Annual Workshop sessions (including general sessions). 

A password will be issued at the end of each general session and track session. Note the password on your notebook to enter in the website or mobile app by April 27, or enter it directly into the mobile app. A three question session evaluation is required when submitting each password. Upon completion of this process, you will be issued contact hours on your transcript. You may not, under any circumstances, share any password with any attendee who did not attend that session.
 
Your mobile app user name and password is the same as your OASBO main website login credentials.
 
You have 5 business days to complete your contact hours submission process, or your credits cannot be issued.
 
Report your attendance by 5:00 pm on Friday, April 27, 2018. There are no exceptions after this date.
 

Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Credit

If you are an attorney seeking CLE credit for presenting or attending a session, please pick up a CLE form at the registration desk and complete it as you attend sessions. Follow the instructions on the CLE form for credit submission information. Forms are available in the session rooms.

University Credit

University credit is available from Ashland University. If interested, please see the Ashland representative in the registration area on Wednesday between 7:30 am – 1 pm.

Center for Public Investment Management (CPIM) Credit

CPIM credit is available for those track sessions approved by the Ohio Treasurer of State’s office. See below for the tracking and reporting processes to ensure you receive CPIM credit for those sessions attended. It is the responsibility of each attendee to ensure the following steps are completed to receive CPIM credit.

  

Reporting CPIM Hours

 

During the Conference:

As you attend each CPIM session, you will receive a password for that specific session. Write the password down on your education credits tracking form – you will need those passwords when you log into the State Treasurer’s CPIM website to report your CPIM hours.
 
Report your hours online at cpim.tos.ohio.gov by 5:00 pm on Friday, April 27, 2018. There are no exceptions after this date.
 

TIP
If you have a wireless device at the conference, we suggest reporting your hours for each session attended during each break immediately following it. The reporting window for each session opens immediately following the end of the session and closes at 5:00 pm on Friday, April 27, 2018.

 

During & After the Conference: 

Step 1

Go to cpim.tos.ohio.gov and log in by clicking on the MyCPIM Login button and entering your email address and password.

TIP
If you have never logged into MyCPIM before and have earned CPIM hours or requested certification of a Notice of Exemption in the past five years, your account information has been migrated into MyCPIM. Please follow the instructions in the yellow box on the log in page to recover your account.  If you have never interacted with CPIM or haven’t in the past five years, please create a new account.

Step 2 

On your MyCPIM homepage, scroll down to “Schedule of Events” and click “View” next to this event listing.
 

Step 3 

Scroll down to the course listings and click on the green “Report Hours” next to the session you attended.

TIP

The “Report Hours” button next to this session will appear in green only when the window is open – after the session end time has passed and before 5:00 pm on May 3, 2017. It will appear in white when the window has yet to open or has closed.
 

Step 4 

Fill out the form for the session including the hour(s) attended, the MyCPIM password confirming your attendance, and the evaluation. Click “Report Hours.”

TIP

To help accurately and successfully report your hours, please use the education credits tracking forms to note of all hours attended and course passwords. If correctly submitted, a green confirmation box will appear in the lower right corner of the screen, you will receive an email confirmation of your reported hours for this course and on the MyCPIM homepage under the “My Previous Courses” tab, this course listing will appear with “Pending Organization Approval” in the “Hours Earned” column.
 
If for any reason, you miss more than 10 minutes of instruction for personal or business needs, you are obligated to account for the missed time when reporting your hours.  For example, if you make a phone call that lasts 15 minutes in the middle of a session, you should report 1.25 hours if the “Hours Possible” for that course is 1.5 hours.
 

Step 5

If you are seeking CPIM certification (i.e., you want credit for these hours), you are required to pay an Annual CPIM Certification Fee of $100. If you have paid your fee, a green box will appear at the top of your MyCPIM screen. If you have not paid, a red box will appear. Click on the red box, and follow the payment instructions. You will not receive an invoice, but you may download an invoice on the payment page. If you do not pay the Annual CPIM Certification Fee before December 31, 2018, you will NOT earn CPIM hours for these courses.
